The Quiltmaker's Gift by Jeff Brumbeau
The greedy king makes everyone in the kingdom give him a gift on his birthday, but he is still not happy. One day, his soldiers find an old woman who makes beautiful quilts and she has not given the king a gift! The king demands she give him one of her quilts, but she refuses, saying she makes them only for the poor. She agrees to give the king one if he gives away everything he owns. Will the king give away his prized possessions just to have one quilt?
This book is really good. It teaches the importance of giving.
