Updates

Hi guys! Sorry it's been a while, but I've been pretty buisy...Her's an update:

1. I was just in a musical, so rehearsals are part of what has kept me away.

2. Even though it's late, Happy Thanksgiving!!

3. I have now seen The Two Towers! I saw it with a friend, and she only had the extended edition, so I got to see it with all the deleted scenes! I have decided that Gimli, the dwarf, has the funniest lines. Here is one of my favourite parts. Even though the line is not Gimli's, it's still hilarious (and it IS said to him...):

I hope I'll see Return of the King soon...

4. I have found some new epic music to like:

(Before you ask: No I have not seen the Harry Potter movies)

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, and I hope that I will not be gone for so long this time...I'll do my best to post more...

Dragonwitch cover reveal

An Ancient Evil

Long ago, Etanun buried his sword in the depths of the Netherworld then vanished from all known history. One day, it is said, his heir will find the sword, and the Dragonwitch, firstborn of the Dragon King, will be finally slain.

A Desperate Hope

These stories are no more than nursery rhymes. In a world of cold reality, what room is left for fairy tales? Lady Leta of Aiven is pledged to marry a man she does not love . . . sleepless Lord Alistair struggles to unite the stubborn earls of the North Country . . . Mouse is lost, far from home, slaving as a kitchen drudge . . .

. . . and the reclusive Chronicler, keeping the records of Gaheris Castle, bears a secret so dangerous it could cost him his life and plunge the North Country into civil war.

An Impossible Journey

But when nursery rhymes begin to come horribly true, will these unlikely heroes find the strength they need to fulfill a prophecy of fire? For the Dragonwitch lives. And she has vowed vengeance on all who have wronged her.

Unstoppable

Nick was born without any limbs. Anyone else might have been horrified, but Nick knows that he is different for a reason and lives on in spite of it. He knows that God is calling him to do something great and nothing will stop him.
Nick's new book, Unstoppable, will be released soon, and I wanted to let you all know about it. I love Nick's story. I have seen some of his video talks, and he makes great points and speaks amazing truth. And he's really funny!
Even if you don't normally read non-fiction or inspirational stories, try Unstoppable. I'm sure you will love Nick. Try it now! Here's the first chapter: (click here.)

Books that Should be Made Into Movies

As you know, I love to read. When a book that I like has been made into a movie, I try to see it. As of right now, I think the only movie that is based of a book I read that I have not seen is The Hunger Games. :(
I have now done some thinking about what books I would like to be made into movies next. Here is a list, in no particular order:

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

The Dragon of Trelian by Michelle Knudsen

Kingdom Keepers series by Ridley Pearson

The White Giraffe by Lauren St. John

The Amaranth Enchantment by Julie Berry

Princess of the Midnight Ball bu Jessica Day George

Slayers by C.J. Hill

Dragons in Our Midst series by Bryan Davis

Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan

The Girl Who Could Fly by Victoria Forester

Palace of Mirrors by Margaret Peterson Haddix

City of Masks by Mary Hoffman

The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine

The 39 Clues series by various authors (including Rick Riordan, Jude Watson, and Margaret Peterson Haddix)

Isle of Swords by Wayne Thomas Batson

The Door Within Trilogy by Wayne Thomas Batson

Double Identity by Margaret Peterson Haddix
Double Identity is amazing. And for all you Star Wars fans, it's got cloning in it...

This list is basically my "favourite books" list. All of these books are *clean* and I definately recommend them. They are for different ages and they are different genres, so there is something in there for everyone.

Oh, and these would make amazing movies also:

Quantum Prophecy is a series about young teens who find that they are superhuman. I didn't put them in a post like I do with the other books, because they have some bad language. It wasn't too much and I kind of over-looked it because the stories were so good. I really want to be Diamond if they make these into a movie. *Note: I will be posting about the prequel series soon...

If you want to learn more about these books, search their titles or authors on my blog, and most of them should be there.

Songs that creep me out

Anakin's Dark Deeds by John Williams

If you're trying to guess why this song creeps me out, I already know that you're guess is wrong. Let me explain:
When I first saw ROTS, I wasn't paying any attention to the music, like most people who watch movies. Actually, I don't remember my brain registering any music after the Main Title. Later, I got the Corellian Edition CD from the library. When I heard this song, I paired it with the wrong scene. In my mind, I saw Anakin fighting Obi-Wan, rather than Anakin killing Separatists. Even now that I know what REALLY happened during this song, I can still see Battle of the Heroes every time I listen to it. I love this song-songs should paint a vivid picture if they are written well-but I can't listen to the end too often, and definitely not before bed. 'Cause every time I hear it, I can see the flames... *shudders convulsively*
